About Staron
Staron is a brand of Solid Surface owned by Austaron Surfaces. Developed in 1992, Staron is made from refined bauxite, a silica-free mineral, and mixed with a pure acrylic resin. The Staron product was brought to life by Korean company, Lotte Chemical, who supply the Solid Surface. Staron offer a wide variety of products, opening a world of creative possibilities. In addition to Solid Surface, Staron supplies luxury acrylic glass, ‘Organoid’ natural surfaces, and more.
Staron's Range
Staron’s Solid Surface colours are categorised into ‘ranges’. This system of classification makes it easier for the customer to find the perfect colour for their needs. These categories include:
- Solid - Plain colours.
- Earthern - only includes Earthern Stratum.
- Innovation - Sleek, bright shades of white.
- Metallic - Contains small shiny particulates that resemble metal.
- Mosaic - Mosaic-like patterns created by using large stone-like particulates.
- Pebble - Earth colours mixed with dense pebble-like particulates.
- Sanded - Vast selection of colours containing small, dense particulates.
- Collina - Contains the gravel-like colour, Collina Urbanity.
- Quarry - Selection of two light colours with large, dense particulates that resemble minerals.
- Terrazzo - Contains large, densely-packed particulates that contrast with the base colour.
- Aspen - Earth-like colours with varying mixtures of black, white, grey and brown particulates.
- Tempest - Dense particulates in a variety of colours - provides a sophisticated texture.
- Supreme - Well balanced vein-rich textures that give surfaces a sense of flow.
- Premiere - Contains darker, more pronounced veins. Appears more like marble.
Particulates and Veins
- Particulates - small chips of Solid Surface that are added to a base colour to create unique designs and textures.

Veins - in Solid Surface, veining refers to variations in Solid Surface colour that mimics veins that appear in actual stones, such as Marble. Veins create a streaked or flowing appearance across the surface.
